Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
March 14, 2020
Dear Parents, Faculty, and Staff,
As we work to navigate all of the information and the many different emotions that come with an event such as this let us remember Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” This is the Christ we serve and He is our peace in this time of unrest in our nation, state, and city.
Let us lean on James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” This has been the prayer of the Trinity Administration team as we have sought God’s wisdom in how best to lead the school community through this time. We would like to give you an update on the plan going forward for at least the next two weeks.
As you have probably heard most of the schools in the Quad-Cities are closing until March 27th. We understand this is an effort to be proactive in helping to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As we prayed through and discussed contingency plans over Spring Break, we realized this was a real possibility for Trinity as well and worked to develop a plan for such an event. Well, that is now where we find ourselves.
Therefore, here are the steps Trinity will take over the next two weeks:
We will extend Spring Break and have no school for one additional week (3/16 - 3/20).
During this time, the Trinity Administration and Teachers will meet and work to establish a distance learning/online learning approach.
This new approach will launch for all Trinity students on Monday, March 23 and will continue until no longer needed. We will evaluate each week and seek to over-communicate with you our plans.
Administrators and Department Heads will meet on Monday and the Teachers will join us on Tuesday to begin establishing this temporary approach. We will communicate the details to our families by Friday of this upcoming week.
As we work to partner with you, we want to hear from you. Please contact any of the administrative team by phone or email with any questions, concerns, challenges, or needs that arise during this time. We will work to answer your questions and concerns as well as utilize our resources to help meet your needs and challenges.
Thank you for your prayers for our nation, for Trinity, and for us as we work to lead the school through this difficult time. We look forward to hearing from you and working with you to continue in our partnership of education and discipleship.
In His Love and Wisdom,
The Trinity Administration Team
