Trinity Family Update: 4/21/20

Dear Trinity Family, I sincerely pray for God’s grace and His peace to be upon you in this unique time in our lives as this often quoted greetings from the Apostle Paul states: “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!” The board, admin team, and I have been prayerfully seeking wisdom regarding what we will do after April 30th for the rest of the school year. At this time, Governor Ducey has given indications that the social distancing regulations will not shift enough in time to allow us to come back to do schooling in the classroom this year. We believe that it is best for all of us that we continue the school year with our Distance Learning Approach all the way through the end of the school year.  We know that this is very challenging and we wish we could do otherwise but we are closely monitoring these decisions and we believe the gradual opening of our economy will not likely include schools in the first phase or even the second. Therefore, Distance Learning will continue through the end of the school year and will conclude on Thursday, May 21st.  At this time we are also postponing our key celebration events and graduations scheduled in May. This will give us more time to receive guidance from our state and local leaders and to move us further into the phases of gradual opening in accordance with health recommendations.  We will update you as needed in the weeks ahead but the plan is that as long as we are allowed and it is prudent to do so, we will have:

“Trinity Celebration Week”  June 1st - June 5th  Monday, June 1st -- 9 AM to 1 PM will be our End of the Year Family Picnic for K-8* Tuesday, June 2nd -- 4:30 PM will be our 8th Grade Graduation and Celebration* Wednesday, June 3rd -- 4:30 PM will be our Kindergarten Graduation and Celebration* Thursday, June 4th -- 6:00 PM will be our High School Formal/End of the Year Celebration    Friday, June 5th -- 4:30 PM will be our High School Graduation*

*We are working on plans to have each of these events outdoors. More details will follow in the weeks ahead.    I appreciate all of you and look forward to being with you again soon. Let us continue to pray for our leaders that they are seeking God’s wisdom and relying on His strength during these challenging times.  Please continue to communicate with your teachers or leaders about any needs you might have. I am so proud of the work you all are doing, both teachers and parents, truly partnering together in the discipleship and education of these children in such powerful and memorable ways. Let’s keep running all the way to the finish line together and look ahead to next year when we can all be together again on campus!  May God bless you all as we continue this work together! In Christ,

Kyle Maestri  Headmaster
